Saturday mornings are made for projects, and Lowes Home Improvement is happy to introduce the next generation to the joys of DIY. Its kids program, Build & Grow, offers children a chance to make anything from toothless dragons to trolleys. The make n takes are scheduled the second and last Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The classes are FREE, but you do need to register at your nearest Lowes — click here to get started.

Not to be outdone, Home Depot, too, offers FREE hands-on workshops for kids.
Generally, Home Depot offers these workshops on the first Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to noon. The store gears these FREE workshops to kids aged 5 to 12, providing them with important information about safe and proper tool safety along the way. In addition, they will learn do-it-yourself techniques that will prove useful down the road.
All supplies will be provided, so all you have to do is reserve your spot at the link provided.
