When our children are very little, they look incredibly cute in their baby clothes playing with their toys and having a great time. Alas, our babies always grow bigger so quickly, and the clothes and toys just can’t keep up and wind up taking up space in the basement, garage, and attic. The first solution may seem to be a garage sale, but having to manage your own garage sale can be time-consuming and stressful. Luckily, you can rely on Here We Grow Again twice a year to help you clear out some space. These events are held in the fall and spring, and the next event happens to be this weekend, August 24 to August 26 at Expo Hall at the Hendricks County Fair Grounds. With only a few days left before the sale, it is too late now to sell your own items at this fall’s event, but how it generally works is that Here We Grow Again rents the building and operates the sale while consignors set their own prices and receive 70% of the selling price of their items.
In the meantime, selling your own items is only half the fun. If you have recently been blessed with a new little one in your life, you can attend the sale and purchase gently-used items at a much lower price than you would encounter shopping retail. Shopping hours are as follows:
- Friday August 24: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday August 25: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., teachers and members of the military can begin making purchases at 50% off.
- Sunday August 26: Noon to 5 p.m., and the sale is now 50% for all the public.
