Which Indy restaurant do you think has the best burger in town? If you have an opinion on the subject and want your vote to count (while also raising money for a good cause), we want to invite you to buy tickets now to the Indy Burger Battle. We’re giving you plenty of advance notice, as the Indy Burger Battle isn’t until Saturday August 10. You can save money on tickets if you order them ahead of time online, plus we know Saturdays fill up quickly on the calendar during these summer months.
From 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the competitors will converge on the Rathskeller Biergarten (located at 401 E. Michigan Street) and will grill burgers onsite to duel for your votes. You can pay $25 at the door or click here to buy tickets in advance for only $22. Your money buys you a quarter-size sample of each restaurant’s burger, a 12 oz. sample of Sun King Beer, and all the live music you care to enjoy. Here are the competitors vying for your vote:
- Punch Burger
- Red Lion Grog House
- Binkley’s Kitchen & Bar
- Coaches Tavern
- The Rathskeller
- Weber Grill
- Chatnam Tap
- Stacked Pickle
- Colts Grille
The best part of the Indy Burger Battle (other than the excellent burgers themselves) is the fact that all proceeds will benefit Building Tomorrow. This Indy-based organization works to empower young people to make a difference in the infrastructure of their communities in East Africa. As long as you are at least 21 years of age, you are welcome to mark your calendars for the Indy Burger Battle in a little over a week.
