One of the joys of summer includes outdoor music. The city of Greenwood believes in this idea wholeheartedly, celebrating all summer long at both the Greenwood Amphitheater and Greenwood Park Mall. We’ll start with the mall, as it has begun its fifth annual Summer Concert Series. Hosting all the action by the fountain on the north side of the mall, the Summer Concert Series kicked off on Thursday ,June 13.
Going forward, the Summer Concert Series will take place every Thursday for ten weeks (excluding Thursday, July 4). These fun outdoor events will last from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The concerts will feature great music from a variety of bands, as well as a fun and festive atmosphere. If you attend the Summer Concert Series, you can look forward to FREE admission. Also, keep your eyes peeled for food samples provided by Bravo!, The Cheesecake Factory, BJ’s Brewhouse, T.G.I. Friday’s, Johnny Rockets, and Applebees.
If you want to see live music on Saturdays as well as Thursdays, however, you can also attend FREE concerts on Saturdays at the Greenwood Amphitheater. These concerts also begin at 7:00 p.m., and you are encouraged to bring your own chair for the lawn seating.
