Are you interested in writing? Some people may believe that great writers are born, but we believe they are made. If writing is a passion of yours, two things will help you improve your skill in the area. The first is, of course, plenty of practice. The second thing is obtaining more knowledge on the subject from events like writing seminars. The Greenwood Public Library is holding just what the doctor ordered tomorrow.
You are welcome to attend a writing seminar at the Greenwood Public Library from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22. Barbara Shoup will be speaking to attendees who are interested in writing but don’t know how to get started, as well as warming prospective authors up for National Novel Writing Month (November) with her advice for beginning writers. Barbara is the executive director of the Writer’s Center of Indiana, the author of seven novels, and co-author of two books about the writing process.
This writing seminar is FREE to attend, but you will need to register ahead of time by clicking here. Ernest Hemingway was quoted as saying, “It’s none of their business that you have to learn to write. Let them think you were born that way.” We couldn’t agree more, Mr. Hemingway.
