The train collector’s dream weekend
If you are interested in trains, you can’t miss the Great Train Expo this weekend at the State Fairgrounds. Known as America’s Favorite Traveling Train Show, they serve more states than any other traveling show, and will be at the Marsh Blue Ribbon Pavilion from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday October 13 and Sunday October 14. Tickets for adults are only $7, and children under the age of 12 are FREE. Here are some of the elements to expect at the show this weekend:
- FREE workshops for beginning and experienced modelers
- A wide variety of operating model and toy railroad layouts in many different scales and gauges
- Expert appraisals and offers if you wish to sell an old model train of your own
- 200-500 tables of train dealers offering a wide selection of train-related items
With shows booked all the way to mid-March of next year, this is your opportunity to enjoy the Great Train Expo here in Indianapolis before it heads off down the tracks to the next stop on its coast to coast show schedule.
