Some of the country’s finest musicians playing a FREE show.
Are you a fan of the big band sound? If so, we have one of the finest such musical groups coming to our city this weekend. You’ve probably heard of the “President’s Own” United States Marine Band. What you may not have heard yet is that this incredible group of musicians will be performing a FREE concert in Clowes Hall this coming weekend.
The United States Marine Band will be performing at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7 at Clowes Hall, which is located at 4602 Sunset Avenue on the Butler campus. Marine Band Director Lt. Col. Jason Fettig has organized a mix of songs from a wide variety of backgrounds. You’ll hear everything from traditional band repertoire to instrumental solos, but all of them will be extremely high quality.
The show is FREE, but you will be required to obtain tickets from the Clowes Hall box office ahead of the show to ensure a seat (only so many can attend). We hope you enjoy the show, and we want to thank Ed Johnson-Ott for letting us know about this FREE event via his Can-Do List.
