The German American Klub holds numerous festivities and celebrations designed to celebrate German heritage while offering a great time to all comers. The next event at the German American Klub is the Social Dance being held on Thursday, February 7. The German American Klub encourages you to stop by the Edelweiss restaurant beforehand for a wonderful dinner before carrying over to the dance.
The doors will open at 7:00 p.m. for a 30-minute FREE group dance lesson, followed by open dancing until 10:00 p.m. Best of all for you newcomers, you don’t have to be a member of the German American Klub to attend. The cost of admission is just $10 for an evening of fun with the public. If you love to dance, you’ll have a blast. And if you can’t dance at all, you’ll still have a great time if you come with friends or family.
If you come to the social dance at the German American Klub and decide you want to work more on your dancing skills, we would encourage you to seek out John and Darleen Himmelheber while you’re there and talk to them about the process involved with signing up for some German folk dancing classes over a three-week period later in February. They are offering to teach the classes, and the cost is only $5 per person per week.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about the Social Dance coming up at the German American Klub, contact Monique at 317-652-0776.
