Kick off Safety Month early with a fire truck
Every other week, home improvement retailer Lowe’s hosts what they call Build & Grow Projects for kids. Not only is participation FREE, but kids who participate will also score an apron, goggles, a patch, and a merit certificate for completing the project. As October is Safety Month at Lowe’s, the next clinic appropriately kicks off with a building a fire truck. The clinic starts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday September 22, so you won’t have to worry about it conflicting with school classes. Just be aware that you have to register early, as these FREE clinics fill up very quickly. The above link will prompt you to enter your ZIP code to determine your most convenient Lowe’s location. The store will provide instruction, as well as safe tools, glue, and whatever supplies are needed to complete the fire truck.
