Summer break from schools may be about halfway over, but the FREE concerts at Indy Parks are just getting started. Indy Parks across town began hosting these FREE concerts last week with the Eagle Creek concert on July 3. They will now be continuing every week for the rest of the summer, and we will let you know each week of which concerts are available to see. With that in mind, here are the FREE Indy Parks concerts for Monday, July 8 through Sunday, July 14:
Jazz on the Point: At 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, you can return to the site of last week’s Indy Parks concert at Eagle Creek Park. As a reminder, it is located at 5901 Delong Road in Indianapolis. Jazz on the Point will feature the Naptown Fantasy Swingers, and admission is FREE with park admission.
Indy Pops: At 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, you can enjoy a show from the New Horizons Band of Indianapolis. This FREE concert takes place at the Garfield Park MacAllister Center located at 2432 Conservatory Drive.
The Friends of Holliday Park Music Series: The Living Proof Concert also takes place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11. The difference is that this FREE concert takes place at Holliday Park located at 6363 Spring Mill Road.
Blues in the Park: Finally, you can catch Chubby & the All Stars for FREE starting at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14 at Watkins Parks (located at 2360 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street.
