Christmas can be one of the most wonderful times of the year. It is associated with family, visits to churches and warm comfort. As the long season of winter is just starting and the days are at their shortest, Christmas still shines brightly.
Even if you aren’t expecting to spend Christmas with your loved ones, however, you don’t have to be alone on this holiday that’s all about togetherness. If you or someone you know doesn’t have any particular plans for Christmas, Kountry Kitchen is offering a FREE dinner to the community. Located at 1831 N. College, Kountry Kitchen is a soul food restaurant—in this case, emphasis on the soul. They offer this FREE dinner every year for all comers. Last year, more than 2500 guests attended on Christmas.
If you are feeling generous and wish to help those less fortunate, you are welcome and encouraged to bring along socks, hats, or gloves to donate. Also, you can volunteer to help if you choose by sending an email to ReginaMarsh66@gmail.com. They open their doors for the FREE dinner starting at 8:30 a.m.
