The place to be this weekend
There’s certainly a party spirit in the air in our city this weekend … and we’ve put together a round up of FREE and incredibly cheap events to help you find a NASCAR celebration mood:
Jazz on the Monon: Carmel Arts & Design District on the Monon is the setting on Saturday night for some free jazz from 6 pm to 9 pm. Concert attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets, and bike racks will be provided for guests that prefer to pedal and park. For visitors arriving by car, parking is available at the Carmel Lions Club parking lot, Indiana Design Center underground garage and other public parking areas, as well as on-street parking in the District. They are holding another free concert same time, same place on August 2 as well.
On the southside, Pirates of the Caribbean play at the Greenwood Amphitheater on Saturday at 7 pm. There is no alcohol permitted at this family-friendly event. Bring a lawn chair!
