We’re going out on a limb and suggesting that none of our Cheapsters personally remember living in the Roaring ’20s from almost a century ago. Just because they were before our time, however, doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate that period in our country’s history. When it comes to these kinds of parties, there are few classier restaurants for the job than Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar. They are holding this tribute party to the 1920s starting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 18.
Before you see the price, we want to warn you that this deal won’t be everyone on our list of Cheapsters. We call this evening a deal just because the amount you will pay is less than you would pay at other places for this kind of evening, but many of you will see it as far too expensive to be considered “on the cheap.” And that’s okay, but for the few who want to indulge in a decadent evening, this price isn’t bad for the value you’ll receive.
For $85 per guest, you can enjoy four extravagant courses prepared by Fleming’s finest chefs. Each of these courses will be paired with handcrafted cocktails, while you enjoy an evening full of Roaring Twenties-related entertainment. Fleming’s encourages you to come in 1920s attire for the evening and be prepared for an evening you won’t soon forget.
To attend the party at Fleming’s you’ll need to reserve a spot and receive a secret password that will grant you access to the event. While you’re there, you can see the full description of each course of the meal, but we’ll give you the basic list here:
- First course: Scallop Carpaccio paired with Milagro Silver Cilantro Collins
- Second course: Beef Carpaccio Salad paired with Black Peppercorn and Arugala Gimlet
- Third course: Porcini-crusted Filet paired with Heavy New York Sour
- Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Cake paired with a Nightcap of Hudson Baby Bourbon, raspberry, espresso, blood orange, and whipped cream.
