Come one, come all, ye Lords and Ladies, for ’tis the 8th Annual Fishers Renaissance Faire this end of week. ‘Tis taking place at Saxony, a fair 750 acre area in Hamilton County located near the address 13578 East 131st Street in Fishers. Ye won’t need much gold to attend, as prices are only $10 per person (with children aged 5 to 12 only paying $5 and children 4 and under FREE) at the door. You can also save a coin or two by ordering online in advance. Those prices are $8 per person, (with children aged 5 to 12 only paying $4).
There shall be plenty for your entire family kingdom to partake of and enjoy at the Faire. The festivities last from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both Saturday October 6 and Sunday October 7. Check here for a listing of all the entertainment you’ll have access to, but we shall list a few here to give you an idea:
- Knights of Valour Joust Troupe (12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.) Knights will show off their horsemanship and bravery as they clash lances in the grand old sport of jousting.
- Rodney the Elder (11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.) This Elizabethan magician will amaze and confound you, whether you are the king of your castle or one of the young squires.
- The Queen’s Madrigal Choir (10:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.) The Queen’s handpicked Fishers Renaissance Faire Madrigal Choir will vocally perform period music with beautiful harmonies.
