One of the most popular entrees associated with cooler weather is chili. The hot and spicy sauce warms you up on days like the ones approaching. For this reason, Old National Bank is holding its Firehouse Chili Cook Off from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. this Saturday, October 20 at the Greenwood location at 900 South State Road 135.
Local firefighters will be cooking their best chili recipes for you to try. Admission, food, and drinks will be all be FREE, though you vote with dollars if you wish to participate in the voting. In the meantime, there will also be a cornhole competition for all who are interested. Bring your own partner to participate, as it is a double-elimination Doubles Cornhole tournament. Registration is $50 per team, and you can pre-register at Tournaround.com or show up at least 30 minutes early before the event for walk-up registration. Participating means you have a shot at the prizes, and all proceeds from the day will benefit the local Christmas Angels Fund. For a spicy Saturday, join us at Old National Bank.
