We at Indianapolis on the Cheap are true fans of this holiday. National Ceiling Fan Day is not a memorial for those who are full of hot air, after all. As it turns out, National Ceiling Fan Day will actually take place on September 18. The reason we’re calling attention to it a month in advance, other than it just being a fun holiday to talk about, is that Fanimation is hosting an awareness party to promote National Ceiling Fan Day on Saturday, August 17.
Fanimation is located in Zionsville, and this business is as cool as the ceiling fans it promotes. The purpose behind this holiday is to educate the American public (including our Cheapsters) about the benefits of ceiling fan usage. For example, did you know that many Fanimation ceiling fans only consume 30-50 watts during operation? To compare, most air conditioning systems can use up to 5,000 watts.
So, “watt” else is there to look forward to at this FREE party beyond just fun facts? You can look forward to live music, prizes, and FREE food catered by Dashboard Diner. In addition, you can check out the caricaturist and treat the kids to bicycle helmet fittings and face painting in the Kids Zone. The party takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Fanimation is located at 10983 Bennet Parkway in Zionsville.
