Being a caregiver for older members of your family can be a tough subject to address. Knowing what to expect and how to cope with the challenges will make everything easier, but reaching that point requires attention and planning ahead of time. From 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 27, you have the opportunity to learn more at The Voice of Aging from those who are committed to helping and guiding you in preparing for all the challenges associated with family care giving.
The Voice of Aging is the title of the family caregivers’ conference that Applegate Elder Law is holding at the Ritz Charles in Carmel. Whether you are dealing with the impact of being a caregiver today or anticipating that it could be coming soon in your future, you are welcome at the event. The event costs $25 a person, but that will cover the cost of lunch, a keynote speech, and two educational sessions. These sessions will feature professional and medical speakers who will give guidance on a range of topics including:
- How to talk to professional caregivers
- Dealing with a loved one’s care, finances, or property
- Where to find support and resources
You are welcome to attend at the standard rate, or you can upgrade and pay $40 per person for the VIP ticket. That would also include a meet and greet with author Jane Gross as well as a copy of her book, A Bittersweet Season. She is the keynote speaker that everyone in attendance will hear. The event will still be held at the Ritz Charles in Carmel, Indiana from 10am to 4pm. A detailed agenda can be found at www.thevoiceofaging.com.
