Changing seasons is exciting, especially when you’re looking forward to cooler temperatures and watching the leaves change colors in autumn. One of the downsides, however, is that all our immune systems seem to take a hit when the climate around us shifts. The seasonal shift is unfortunately a time when all of us could contract a cold or flu, so it’s the perfect time for that annual flu shot. The following is a rundown of prices and offers from various stores and pharmacies around town:
CVS: $31.99 shot. You don’t need to make an appointment first (though you can make one if you like), and you will receive a 20% shopping pass for all your purchases in-store that day.
Walgreens: $25 to $40 shot (depending on the individual location). Walk-ins are always welcome, but you can also schedule flu shots or other vaccinations for either seniors or adolescents ahead of time if necessary.
Walmart: $25 shot. You don’t need a prior appointment for this one.
Kroger: They offer the same deal as Walmart.
Target: The shot is $25. If you are a member of the Pharmacy Rewards program, your flu shot can count towards your five prescription fills that qualify you for 5% off a day of shopping. Appointments here aren’t necessary.
Meijer: The shot is $25, and you will receive a FREE Health and Wellness Planner with over $45 in coupons (while supplies last). Appointments here aren’t necessary.
