We are coming into the last stretch before the holidays. We have been building throughout the month of December, and now it’s time to have a great time. Whatever plans you have for the coming days, chances are you’re going to have to park the car somewhere it isn’t normally parked. That’s where ParkMe for iPhone and Android can be as handy to have around as Rudolph was for Santa on that cloudy Christmas Eve.
For example, say you’re headed downtown to take part in one of the freebies of the 12 FREE Days of Christmas. These attractions aren’t normally FREE, so you’re probably too preoccupied with the fun you’ll have when you get there and the stress of driving through holiday traffic to want to worry about parking. If you’ve downloaded the ParkMe app (for FREE, mind you), that’s one less part of the equation you have to worry about.
ParkMe exists to recommend the best place to park based on factors such as your location, what kind of vehicle you’re driving (a Tahoe is very different from a Miata, after all), and how long you’re planning to stay parked. ParkMe serves over 28,000 parking locations across 1,823 cities, including Indianapolis. To say it is an expert on parking is like saying Michael Jordan knew a thing or two about basketball. No matter what plans your holidays entail, ParkMe can make them easier by taking the frustration out of finding a place to park.
Word of advice: If you pay a meter on the street, take a photo of the time when you start and be sure to include your vehicle in that picture. Enough Hoosiers are saying they’ve been ticketed before their purchased time ran out because the readers are not paying attention to the actual meter with the time on it. This happened to us personally in October. — Julie
