Just because the Indianapolis 500 and Memorial Day have come and gone does not mean there is nothing going on this weekend here in the city. For a more relaxed Saturday than you probably had last weekend, you can always pay a visit to the Vintage Indiana Wine and Food Festival. As the name would suggest, it is a festival devoted to wine, food, and fun. This will be the 14th annual event, and it’s a great opportunity to kick back and enjoy your Saturday.
Vintage Indiana lasts from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1 in Military Park Downtown. Numerous wineries (including Brown Country Winery, Carousel Winery, Cedar Creek Winery, French Lick Winery, Oliver Winery, and many more) will be on hand offering samples. A long list of restaurants including Bazbeaux Pizza, Cobb’s Cajun Cooking, Blue Lagoon Catering, and more will also be present for culinary masterpieces.
If you choose to attend, you can look forward to live music and artist booths accompanying the food and wine. Your kids are also welcome to enjoy the KidZone. You can bring your own lawn-chairs and blankets, though you’ll have to leave outside food and beverages, as well as pets, at home for the day. Tickets for the wine and food tasting cost $25 per person at the gate, but you can click here to order them in advance for just $22 per person.
