Have you ever watched one of those movies from the 1970s or 1980s in which the characters go to the future, and that future happens to be taking place right about now? It’s kind of funny, for example, to watch Back to the Future Part Two and see how the producers envisioned the world we’d be living in today. Some of the futuristic technology hasn’t come to pass yet (i.e. flying cars), but can you imagine if we tried to explain iTunes Festival to a person from the 1980s?
To clarify, iTunes Festival is a series of concerts taking place over the next few days that you can stream live or watch after the performances by accessing the iTunes store. From there, you can watch the shows on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or computer. Even cooler, you can transfer the live music to the big screen with Apple TV and watch the shows on your couch. It’s like being at the concert without having to drive home afterward.
Plus, these aren’t no-name groups providing the iTunes Festival experience. Between now and Saturday, March 15, you can see performances by Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Soundgarden, Pitbull, and more. Click here to learn more, and enjoy the music.
