Today is Monday April 22, and that means it’s time for us to wish you a Happy Earth Day. Earth Day (and by extension, Earth Day Indiana) may be about promoting concern for the environment and conservation, but that doesn’t mean crowds can’t have a fun time with it. For that reason, we encourage you to consider heading downtown this weekend for a belated Earth Day celebration.
The 2013 Earth Day Indiana Festival starts at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday April 27 in White River State Park. Rain or shine, the party continues at 801 W. Washington Street. If you attend the biggest annual Earth Day celebration in the state of Indiana, you can look forward to more than 140 environmental and conservation exhibits. Additionally, you’ll be able to listen to fun live music, eat fine food provided by various vendors, and entertain the kids with special activities in the children’s tent.
If you don’t have a specific parking plan in mind, we encourage you to click here for parking tips. Other than that, just show up for a fun and FREE way to celebrate Earth Day with others in the community.
