Like the rest of the Midwest, a big part of our legacy here is the food we grow. They don’t call our region the Breadbasket for nothing, and you can taste the fruit of our labors at Dig IN – A Taste of Indiana, on August 26. Indiana growers will be flocking to White River State Park to show off their products, joined by numerous Hoosier chefs. From noon to 5 p.m., you can sample two-ounce tastes of as many of the unique dishes on display as you can put away. Some examples of the dishes you will have access to include Tomato Caprese, Ricotta with Peach & White Corn Puree, Braised duck fried pie with blueberry BBQ sauce, strawberry and banana soup, and many more. Local beer and wine will be available to drink, and you can find additional entertainment with local bands, urban gardening exhibits, and local expert Q&A sessions throughout the day.
Tickets at the gate will cost you $40 per person, but if you follow the above link and purchase Online Early Event Tickets, the purchase price is only $30 per person. You have access to this discount until August 19, so dig in early for savings to this Hoosier food extravaganza.
