In case the first question that popped into your head with that headline was, “What is piada?” allow us to explain. Piada is a wrap made of thin bread cooked on a stone in olive oil and filled with meats, vegetables, sauce, and pasta. Imagine a cross between a calzone and a burrito and you’re probably on the right track. As for Piada Italian Street Food, it is one of the newest breakout restaurant chains.
Piada Italian Street Food is planning to open two locations here in the Indianapolis on the Cheap territory. One will be in Indianapolis, but we want to highlight the location arriving in Carmel, celebrating its grand opening on Friday, August 16. Get psyched because the first 100 guests will receive FREE piada for an entire year.
You can click here for full details and to see the timer counting down to the grand opening. Keep in mind that the “Promotion Period” begins at 7:00 p.m. tonight on Thursday, August 15. The first 100 guests will be the ones who arrive first during this Promotion Period and fill out forms to claim a wristband. Just coming to the restaurant early Friday morning will NOT work if you want to win the prize. Piada Italian Street Food was founded by the same guy who was a founder of the Bravo! Cucina Italiana chain, and it seems likely this second company is going to be successful as well.
