If you have never been to an Indianapolis Indians game, you’re missing out on a great experience. In addition to the fun any baseball game inherently brings to its audience, the Indians are having an incredible season and are poised to challenge for the AAA Championship this year. If you truly need one more reason to embrace the team and come out to watch them in action, we have two words for you. Star Wars.
It might seem an odd mix, but Victory Field is being transformed tonight (Friday August 2) to be a baseball field in “a galaxy far, far away.” In addition to the normal fun of an Indianapolis Indians baseball game, your ticket offers you a seat for the following additional forms of entertainment:
- Rowdie dressed as a Jedi Master
- Darth Vader throwing out a first pitch, accompanied by Storm Troopers
- Numerous Star Wars characters in costume
- Color changing “Light Sabers” available for purchase
- Plenty of Star Wars themed entertainment throughout the game, including headshots, music, videos and more
- Post-Game Costume Contest open to any fan dressed in a Star Wars themed outfit. The winner will take home an Indians Prize Pack, consisting of four box seats tickets to any 2013 game, a team signed ball and an Indians Water Bottle
- Members of Indians Staff wearing Star Wars T-Shirts courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
Plus, you can enjoy a fantastic fireworks display after the game that is out of this galaxy. So, choose to join us at the Star Wars-themed Indianapolis Indians game tonight. It is your destiny…
