If you haven’t heard of Chase Smith, he’s a boy from Indian Creek south of Indy who is currently ranked 13th in the nation for 100 meter butterfly swimming for his age group. He comes from a great family, does well in school, and became embroiled in a fierce battle with a rare form of cancer called Ewings sarcoma this summer. One of the best aspects of living in Indy, however, is the spirit of community and the willingness of people to help and support each other.
Chase Smith’s family and friends are supporting him in his fight against cancer, and you can join in that support thanks to Johnny Carino’s. The Italian restaurant located at 920 US 31 North in Greenwood is holding a Dine to Donate event for Chase Smith on Thursday September 4. If you print off the flyer that we’re using as the picture for this post (or just show a picture of it on your phone to your server), 10% of your total bill will go directly to #ChaseStrong. This fund will help raise money for his family to financially afford the medical treatments Chase will need to win this battle.
It doesn’t cost you anything extra beyond the normal price of eating out this Thursday night, but it will make a big difference to a family in need of support this week. We hope to see you at Carino’s, and are sure you will enjoy your meal.
