One of the biggest financial problems today for American households is paying for prescription drugs. With how many people are on at least one prescription drug, this shouldn’t really be news for anyone. What is news, however, is that CVS Pharmacy is doing something to help.
CVS Pharmacy is implementing a new program with ExtraCare Pharmacy and Health Rewards. The ExtraCare program was already in place, and is one of the most successful retail savings and rewards programs in the country. Now, members will have the ability to opt in to parts that will help address that big pharmacy concern. You won’t have to change ExtraCare cards to start earning these rewards, but you have to sign up either at a CVS Pharmacy location or online. Here are the highlights of the new program:
- For every 10 prescriptions filled at CVS Pharmacy, you’ll earn $5 in ExtraBucks rewards
- You can earn up to $50 in Pharmacy and Health ExtraBucks Rewards per year (rewards for other purchases remain unlimited)
- The ExtraBucks rewards work as CVS Pharmacy money that can be spent on most items in the store
You have nothing to lose from updating your ExtraCare membership, and you will be rewarded for taking care of your health with CVS Pharmacy.
