For some Cheapsters, sitting in the easy chair on Sunday to watch the Indianapolis Colts play football is a fun enough experience on its own. And for the regular season, it’s hard to disagree. However, we’ve reached January and the Colts playoffs are just getting started. For games of this magnitude, you’ll want a raucous atmosphere and fellow fans to watch the Colts playoffs all the way until the Super Bowl (because losing beforehand is just not an acceptable outcome).
More power to you if you’re going to throw the big party at your house, but we know that our Cheapsters may prefer not to have to buy and cook all the food themselves. Besides, doing so might mean missing part of the game. Instead, knows that these restaurants have your back while the Colts Playoffs run begins this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. against the Baltimore Ravens:
El Sol de Tala – This Mexican restaurant, located downtown at 2444 E. Washington Street, has been offering specials for all the Colts games. For the Colts Playoffs this Sunday, you can look forward to 50% off on all appetizers (we personally recommend the nachos and cheese dip). You can also indulge in $9.99 Large Blue Colts Margaritas. After all, it’s a long game and you’ll probably be thirsty if you’re going as “horse” as us cheering.
Southport Bar & Grille – This south side bar will start rocking and rolling to the beat of the Colts playoffs with an 11:00 a.m. tailgate. At the tailgate, you can indulge in 25 cent wings and $10 domestic longneck buckets. When the game starts at 1:00 p.m., there will be prize drawings and acoustic music provided by the Huffs to further heighten the playoff atmosphere.
