The perfect act to kick off the Colts’ season.
The Indianapolis Colts take the field Sunday to kick off their season against the Oakland Raiders. Before that glorious day comes to pass, however, you can enjoy the Colts Kickoff Concert for FREE downtown. The Colts Kickoff Concert is just another sign that football season is finally back, but a chance to see a group perform on Georgia Street for FREE is a nice perk all on its own.
The headliner this year is the Gin Blossoms. The Dane Clark Band will provide the opening act before the Gin Blossoms take the stage. The Gin Blossoms began to grow a huge following back in the late 80s in Arizona. Since the Phoenix New Times chose them as the city’s best rock band, their fame began to truly grow. If you’re likely to have heard any of their songs on the radio, the most famous single was “Hey Jealousy.” They have also charted with songs including, “Allison Road,” “Until I Fall Away,” and “Found Out About You.”
It’s an incredible deal to see the Gin Blossoms for FREE in our city, so we hope to see you at the Colts Kickoff Concert. The fun lasts from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6 on Georgia Street. The Colts Cheerleaders and Blue will be there, and you can also take part in some give-a-ways as we celebrate the start of what is hopefully a Super Bowl year for the Indianapolis Colts.
