Now that Thanksgiving has passed, Christmas takes center stage as the holiday we’re all looking forward to merrily. If you don’t think you can wait until Christmas Day to celebrate the festivities, consider visiting Christmas at the Zoo. While you can follow the link for full details, here are some of the highlights you can enjoy by visiting the Indianapolis Zoo from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from Wednesday to Sunday each week between now and December 30:
- Santa’s Toy Shop
- Cookie decorating with Mrs. Clause
- Letters to Santa
- All-A-Glow Light Show (featuring Energy Efficient Holiday LED Lights)
- Reindeer in the Entry Plaza
- Caroling performances by local school choirs
Christmas at the Zoo is FREE for Zoo members, though certain activities require additional charge. For nonmembers, you can take $1 off your admission price for each donation of a new hat, scarf, or gloves to St. Mary’s Children Center. Also, you can purchase discount tickets at participating Donatos and Teachers Credit Union locations (as they are sponsoring the event). Use these tips to take a walk on the wild side this holiday season and head over to celebrate Christmas at the Zoo on the cheap.
