One of the seasonal chores many of us do around this time of the year is put up Christmas lights while the weather is mild. It’s not the actual installation that bites —it’s that inevitably, one or two wind up being burned out, and you always expect to find last year’s lights wadded up at the bottom of the box of decorations from your attic.
But between now and Wednesday, November 14, Home Depot is offering a Christmas Light Trade-in promotion. All you need to do is bring in your old incandescent Christmas light strings (even if they are broken) and you will receive a discount on a single receipt in-store purchase of LED lights. You can take advantage of one of three discount opportunities:
- $3 off on Home Accents Holiday LED lights
- $4 off on Martha Stewart Living or GE LED lights
- $5 off on Ecosmart or Lightshow LED lights
As mentioned, the trade-in discount expires November 14, so gather up your old lights early. Here are the local Home Depot locations to visit:
