Colts playoff parties begin now
Don’t want the holidays to end? They don’t have to if you’re a Colts playoff fan this afternoon.
The Children’s Museum, in partnership with the Indianapolis Colts, will host “Light the Town Blue” Community Day today, January 2, 2013, from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. to kick off the city’s celebration of the team’s playoff run. Museum visitors are encouraged to wear blue. Everyone will receive a $2 discount on regular museum admission and the first 5,000 fans will also receive free blue glow sticks and playoff posters, compliments of the Colts. Fans are invited to participate in a variety of Colts related activities while enjoying all museum exhibits.
A few select Colts players and Blue, the team mascot, will join Rex, The Children’s Museum mascot, to participate in kid- and family- friendly activities. Colts Cheerleaders will replace pom-poms with pens to sign autographs.
Here is the official schedule of events:
- Blue Jell-O, blue cookies and a bleu cheese burger available in the Food Court
- Colts Cheerleader Autographs (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
- Blue, the team mascot (10-10:30 a.m., 12-1 p.m.)
- Colts Players* (11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
*Players will participate in several museum activities; however, due to the large attendance numbers expected, they will not be available for autographs.
