When you sit down on a Friday afternoon and try to think of fun things to do over the weekend, caboose rides probably don’t immediately come to mind. If you’re tired of the same old routines over the weekend, however, this is the unique alternative. Plus, if you have young kids, they are bound to be fascinated by the experience.
Noblesville offers these caboose rides every weekend this summer. Every Saturday and Sunday through September 1, you can pay just $5 per person (kids aged under two are FREE) to take a ride on a real caboose. Each day of the weekend features five round trips. The departures begin at 11:30 a.m. from the Museum at Forest Park and go through 3:50 p.m.. You can board for your caboose rides there or on the Square in Downtown Noblesville (in front of Bolden’s Cleaners).
If you take the round trip, you can expect a one hour excursion. You’ll be able to take in the scenery around Noblesville and have a fun time that your kids will certainly remember beyond Monday.
