Among the other Halloween activities going on this weekend, comic book shops are getting in on the fun. Comic shops are great destinations for Halloween (think of how many comic book characters you’ll see trick-or-treating next week). Fourteen comic book publishers caught on to this connection and decided to produce 22 special edition comic books to distribute nationwide among comic book stores. This promotion is known as Halloween ComicFest, and you can enjoy freebies if you pay ComicFest a visit.
If you visit local participating comic shops on Saturday, October 26 or Sunday ,October 27, ComicFest means you could walk away with one of those special edition comic books for FREE. Before we list the participating comic book shops here in the Indy area, we want to acknowledge yet another tip from Deal Scout Lorraine M. made this post possible. Deal Scouts receive one name in the hat for every tip they provide (whether we write the post or not), so the odds are definitely in Lorraine’s favor when we do our next Deal Scout gift card drawing. With no further ado, here are the places to visit during ComicFest this weekend (all in Indianapolis):
- The Hero House – 1112 Prospect Avenue
- Collectors Paradise – 5618 E. Washington Street
- Downtown Comics – 11 East Market Street
- Comic Book University – 8923 S. Meridian Street
- Comic Carnival – 7225 N. Keystone Avenue
- Downtown Comics West – 7301 W. 10th Street
