Most of our Cheapsters are probably already aware that this weekend is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure downtown. This is another post that falls under the category of deals that could’ve fallen within the top five things to do over the weekend post. On the other hand, though, most people tend to need more than a day to commit to running in a race.
Maybe two days isn’t much better, but we figure it’s worth a shot. We could concentrate on how you’ll be helping the Susan G. Komen Foundation raise money to battle breast cancer if you participate in this weekend’s Race for the Cure, but you already know that. Instead, we’ll point out a secondary benefit that you probably aren’t aware of yet. Nickel Plate Bar and Grill in Fishers wants to be where you celebrate after the race is finished.
If you bring in your race number, Nickel Plate will give you access to exclusive specials on Saturday, April 12. We’re talking about $5 appetizers, and all of the following for $4: Pink Caboose, Rebel IPA Pints, and Sailor Jerry Rum. Running in the Race for the Cure means you deserve a reward, and Nickel Plate is happy to oblige.
Morning people, show your race number at Elbow Room on Saturday and they’ll knock $2 off your breakfast order, too.
