Even if you aren’t familiar with Indy Ballet (or ballet in general), you’ve surely heard of the Nutcracker Suite. Undoubtedly Tchaikovsky’s most well known composition, the Nutcracker has been performed by ballet troupes around the world. The Indianapolis School of Ballet (or Indy Ballet) is performing the Nutcracker in the days leading up to Christmas at the Scottish Rite Cathedral at 650 North Meridian in Indianapolis. You can click here to purchase advance tickets for $20-$25 if you would enjoy seeing the entire show at a beautiful venue.
However, if you want to experience the Indy Ballet interpretation of the Nutcracker on the cheap(er), you have the opportunity to catch a sneak peek at the Indianapolis Central Library this weekend. From 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, you can watch artists from Indy Ballet perform a portion of the show.
The Indianapolis Central Library is located at 40 E. St. Clair Street. You can learn more about this flagship branch of the city’s library by clicking here.
