Now that summer break is over halfway finished, we’re all beginning to feel some serious football withdrawal. Our local high school teams are already gearing up for next season, practicing and getting in shape for the season to come. Part of that team experience includes fundraising, and the Mooresville Pioneers hope you’ll support them by investing in their car wash.
From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, the Mooresville football team will be trading the cleats and pads for towels and buckets of soapy water. You can stop by the car wash at either of two local locations. One is the Walgreens located at 115 Fields Street, though that location will only be available for the car wash from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The entire day, you can stop by the Long John Silvers located at 528 S. Indiana Street for the same car wash treatment.
Even if you are not a sports fan at all, a shiny car is always a nice thing to have. Plus, you can help some local teens raise money for their team through labor that will strengthen the bonds of their teamwork. Thank you in particular to our Deal Scout Mrs. S. Meuchel for bringing this car wash to our attention.
