“Block” off Tuesday night on your calendar.
You may or may not know this is the 60th anniversary for the Chevrolet Performance US Nationals. “The Big Go” as they call it takes place at Lucas Oil Raceway over the Labor Day weekend.
Now that you know that, you should also know that the Brownsburg Town Hall is hosting a Big Go Block Party from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19 to drum up excitement.
Of course, you don’t have to be a big racing fan to enjoy this FREE block party. There’s plenty going on in those three hours. You’ll have the opportunity to meet the stars of NHRA drag racing and see both Funny Cars and Top Fuel dragsters up close. If cars aren’t your cup of choice, you hear the Hunter Smith Band in concert, sample FREE Mello Yello, and eat dinner from some of the local food truck fare. Kids will find plenty of fun in a zone set up just for them, as well.
The Big Go Block Party is, at its heart, a great opportunity to enjoy some fun with your fellow Cheapsters in the community. We don’t know what other plans you had for Tuesday night, but we hope to see you at the block party tonight. If you decide to come, the Brownsburg Town Hall is located at 61 N. Green Street.
