On Sunday, February 24, the Academy Awards will be announced for 2013. These will be the 85th Academy Awards, and nine movies are seeking the Best Picture Oscar.
In anticipation of the biggest night of the year for movie awards, AMC will be showcasing all nine of the movies up for the Best Picture Oscar. As nine movies would make for a ridiculous marathon, AMC chose to break this showcase into two days. For just $30, you can see four of the films on Saturday, February 16 starting at 10:00 a.m. The movies you’ll see that day at Amour, Les Miserables, Argo, and Django Unchained.
The second day of movies will include five films for just $40, on Saturday, February 23. AMC is offering this incredibly low price for the following set of films: Beasts of the Southern Wild, Life of Pi, Lincoln, Silver Linings Playbook, and Zero Dark Thirty. This movie marathon also begins at 10:00 a.m.
AMC is showing these two movie sessions in Bloomington as well, but the only Indianapolis location is the one in Castleton. To be specific, the AMC Theaters there is located at 6020 E. 82nd Street. You can choose to attend one day or the other, or both if you want to catch all nine movies up for the award. By the time the Academy Awards air on February 24, AMC can ensure that you know the movies and have your own opinion on who should win.
