Located at 401 East Michigan Street in Indianapolis, the Athenaeum Foundation is devoted to preserving and enhancing its German-American landmark. It features the oldest German restaurant in Indianapolis— the Rathskeller—a spacious lobby and theater, and the authentic summer gathering place that is the Biergarten.
This time of year, however, the Athenaeum appears to be playing host to something paranormal. Between the dark hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, the Athenaeum will allow 50 people the chance to explore 14 different areas of the building in its first ever Paranormal Investigation.
Water and soda will be provided at this ghost hunt, but all participants should feel free to bring a snack and whatever investigative equipment necessary. Tickets to participate are $50 per person, but all proceeds will benefit the care and maintenance of this historic building. Tickets are selling fast, so you’ll want to click this link quickly if you wish to participate.
