One of the biggest concerns we face in this day and age with the children in our community is nutrition and health. Kids these days don’t always make the best food decisions, and often don’t enjoy enough physical activity each day. Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health wants to address this issue with a fun program designed to encourage kids to make healthy decisions, and they have partnered with Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck.
The program Andrew Luck and Riley have developed is called Change the Play. It’s an eight week program in which you can check back at the website (just click ‘Change the Play’ in the last sentence to go to that website) for weekly challenges. In fact, the program is already underway and this is the third week of the program. This week’s challenge is entitled H2GO Challenge, and it shows the importance of drinking enough water to stay hydrated during active and inactive days. Even though the program has already begun, you can go back and view the first two weeks before moving on.
Each week will feature a video from Andrew Luck, and plenty of information will be provided. So, beyond the obvious learning experience, why should you participate in this program? Each week, one lucky family participating will receive an invite to a block party with Andrew Luck himself. Plus, if you complete all eight challenges, you’ll receive a FREE Change the Play certificate. The Program lasts 40 more days, but we encourage you to join today to give yourself the maximum number of weeks possible to win that party with Andrew Luck.
