If you’re a movie buff who loves the theater experience, this post is for you.
Seeing some of the classics from the 80s and 90s back on the big screen brings back lots of memories. If you’re looking to wax nostalgic, or share some of your favorites with kids, AMC Theatres has you in mind. The theatre chain is hosting a Classic Series, with tickets just $6 each. The movies play Sunday at 2 p.m. and Wednesday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the AMC Indianapolis 17, otherwise known as Southern Plaza at US 31 South and I-465.
Here’s the schedule:
- July 16: Pretty Woman
- July 20 and 23: The Breakfast Club
- July 23 and 30: Monty Python and the Holy Grail
- August 3 and 6: The Big Lebowski
- August 10 and 13: Beverly Hills Cop
Looking for a wider variety of really cheap movies? Check out Cinemark in Greenwood and on East Washington St., near Washington Square Mall. Monday is seniors day here, where the mature among us can get into any movie all day for $1.50. Tuesdays are discount days, and tickets are $1.50 for any age for any movie any time, unless it’s a new movie on release day or a holiday. Then they will tell you no at the ticket window. You’d pay more for a soda at a restaurant than the full theater experience at these prices.
