Of all the kinds of races in this world, few are more physically challenging than the triathlon. Requiring more than just running, a triathlon will stretch every muscle in your body to the limit as you swim, run, and bike to the finish line. Completing a triathlon is a major accomplishment in and of itself, but it feels even better to complete one if you know you’re benefitting a good cause at the same time.
If you or a woman you know enjoys competing in triathlons, you should register for the 5th Annual Go Girl Triathlon. The event begins at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, and proceeds benefit the Julian Center. The triathlon takes place at Eagle Creek State Park, located at 7840 W. 56th Street.
