This post goes out to all our Cheapsters who enjoy running as a serious hobby and are looking for a fun 5K to join. The Indiana State Fairgrounds is playing host to the upcoming 5K Graffiti Run on Sunday, June 2. The first rave of runners begins the Graffiti Run at 9:00 a.m. that morning. The Graffiti Run is literally a very colorful race, as runners are pelted by volunteers with colors. The runners themselves provide the canvas for graffiti art, adding an interesting twist to the 5K run.
We’re letting you know about the Graffiti Run well in advance because you can save money if you register early. Between now and Sunday, May 5, registration is only $50 to run in the race. After that, you’ll have to pay $55 to run. A portion of the proceeds from the Graffiti Run will benefit a local charity. The website hasn’t posted details on which charity this will be, but your entry fee will be going to a good cause.
You can also join one of the pre-race volunteer opportunities (which the website also has yet to provide details on). If you do, you will be rewarded with a FREE registration to the Graffiti Run. Keep checking back at the website to learn more details as the event grows closer. And if you plan on running, remember to keep practicing as the weather grows warmer and nicer.
