$1 tacos at independent restaurant near Southport

We’re the first to say this restaurant’s name is puzzling, but its special is not. Taco Meats Potato (yep, scoot over Apple Paltrow and North West) at Madison and Southport Road is offering its tacos this week (and you read it here first: the owner is considering keeping this up for the rest of the month) at $1 each.

On some versions, this is a savings of as much as 50 percent. All meats are included.

While the restaurant serves other items, it’s hard to beat this sale price. Not to mention the  hours make it easy to consider this an afternoon or late-night snack run destination:
