If you have a handful of quarters, they’ll buy you some serious grub today during the soccer game between Team USA and Belgium. And just as there are two teams playing, two restaurants are clamoring for your business with their quarter specials. While choosing USA over Belgium is a no-brainer for our Cheapsters, it may be harder to pick between enchiladas and wings.
Okay, technically the enchiladas aren’t in honor of the soccer game. Abuelo’s is celebrating 25 years in business all day on Tuesday, July 1 by offering 25-cent enchiladas all day long. Meanwhile, Uno Pizzeria and Grill has World Cup specials just for the day of the game. You can enjoy $5 margaritas, half-price appetizers, and of course 25 cent wings. Whether you prefer boneless or regular wings, they’re a quarter apiece either way. Uno will give you these specials in the bar as long as the matches last.
There’s also a serious party going on at Union Jack Pub in Broad Ripple, where The American Outlaws Indianapolis, the largest and only US Mens National Team Supporter Group (we don’t know what they capitalized that) is holding its public gathering for the game.
Rock Bottom downtown is offering $10 classic burger and RB beer special, with double reward points for diners during the game. The Local Eatery & Pub has announced it will have game day specials on the menu, but at the moment, we don’t have specifics. We do know that Stacked Pickle downtown is selling all of its draft beers for $2.50, and Tomlinson Tap Room has $2 Upland Wheat and $3.50 select drafts. Black Swan Brewpub? Yah, $2.50 pints!
We can’t tell you which of the specials you’d prefer and we can’t promise the USA will win the day against a tough Belgian squad. What we can promise, however, is you’ll enjoy an afternoon snack on the cheap if you take advantage of these specials. Stay tuned for more as we find them!
