Nine times out of ten, you’re going to find discounts and even freebies when you read our posts. We’re all about saving our Cheapsters money whenever possible, and that’s not going to change. One other thing we love to do, however, is give a shout out to those in our community who are trying to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams. It’s extremely hard to start a new business, and even harder to keep it going.
Part of the tough trick to thriving in this economy is to offer something nobody else has. And while we aren’t exactly popcorn experts, Heidi Pops seems to offer that many times over. It joins only a handful of places around Indy to try popcorn flavors like blueberry, pina colada, blue raspberry, and cherry. Of course, if you aren’t feeling that experimental, you can go for their classic specialities like sharp cheddar and caramel corn.
Heidi Greene had wanted to own a gourmet popcorn shop for years, and she and husband Russ have now been living that dream for a little over a week. They embody American small business owners everywhere, and we wish them the best of luck in their efforts. If you want to try gourmet popcorn like you might find at Garrett’s without having to drive to Chicago, pay Metropolis Mall a visit in Plainfield and stop by Heidi Pops.
